Katrina Ponce-Enrile, and her daughter Kris, are self-confessed “beauty junkies” and “makeup hoarders,” who have proudly embraced their addiction as a lifelong passion. The two strong women are kindred spirits, united in their love for makeup and the world of beauty, which has become their grownup playground.

I’m not really one to concoct homemade products, nor am I the least bit conscious about my health. However, I do believe that going back to basics can work wonders for our internal and external health. As many of you know, maintaining chemically processed hair is both costly and downright exhausting, especially if its bleached. So if you’re in the mood to pamper your hair with ingredients that are readily available in your kitchen, I say give this DIY hair mask a try.  I guarantee your hair will look shinier, feel healthier and become noticeably stronger.

• ½ avocado
• 1 egg yolk
• 2 tbsp. Olive oil
• 2 tbsp. Coconut oil
• 1 tbsp. Honey

Mash avocado, ensuring there are no lumps. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Apply the entire mixture  to dry hair all the way from the scalp to the roots. Gently massage into your scalp to aid in penetration. Tuck hair into a disposable shower cap and leave in for 20-25 minutes. Wash hair thoroughly with shampoo and condition.
