26 Aug DON’T PICK IT, STICK IT.
Such a catchy motto for this pimple product, right? Anyway, I don’t know about you guys, but when it’s that time of the month for me, I tend to break out. I usually just let my body do its thing and wait for my skin to clear out again. Then I saw these little stickers at Sephora and I decided to give it a try.
The Peace Out Acne Dots ($19) are “the first and only treatment to combine hydrocolloid technology with blemish-fighting actives. Infused with salicylic acid to kick acne-causing bacteria to the curb, they also contain vitamin A to help support natural skin turnover and aloe vera to soothe redness. Hydrocolloid technology extracts impurities while creating a protective barrier that guards against external irritants. By protecting your blemishes from bacteria, inflammation, and picking, these dots also reduce the potential for acne scarring. Whether you’re struggling with hormonal acne, whiteheads, or inflamed pimples, your blemish is less red, less painful, and significantly less irritating in as little as six hours.” After reading that and asking the skin specialist at Sephora what they thought, I was sold. How could you not be?
I eventually got my usual pimple around my chin area a couple of days later, how timely. So after my nightly skin routine, I popped the dot on top of my blemish. I kept it on all through the night (you’re suggested to keep it on for at least 6 hours) and was very surprised to see it noticeably flatter after peeling the dot off the next morning. It wasn’t 100% gone but it was less than half of its original size! I also noticed that there was a tiny white spot on the translucent sticker which I can only assume is the gunk in my skin. I repeated this step the next night and I’m happy to announce that my little pimple is gone.
In each pack of Peace Out Acne Dots, you get 20 little stickers. And I think it’s great for spot treatment for your acne. Peace Out also has pore treatment strips so you know I’m definitely trying that out next!
