06 Apr Glossier at Rhea’s Cafe
Okay I know I was a bit harsh the last time I wrote about Glossier but some of their products have grown on me. If you’ve been getting ready with me on Instagram Live then you may notice my go-to brow gel has in fact been the Glossier Boy Brow ($16).
Living in Manila, I haven’t been in the loop with any of the latest spots or pop ups in San Francisco. But since I am in the Bay Area, I decided to drop by Rhea’s Cafe to check out this cute setup Glossier has! I’d never been to the old Rhea’s Cafe but I did hear that they served mean fried chicken sandwiches. Makeup and food is never a bad idea.
I ended up going to Rhea’s Cafe three times. The first time I went, I lined up for 15 minutes along with eager high school kids (lol). It was a pretty hot day in San Francisco and when I finally got inside the cafe, it felt like an oven from everyone’s body heat. I was about to grab a refill for my boy brow until I overheard one of the sales ladies saying they only accepted card, not cash. And of course, I only had cash at the time. I was bummed that I couldn’t finish my transaction after patiently waiting in line. The second time I went, I was ready. I tried to come at a time where it would be somewhat dead since you know, people are at work and kids are in school. By the time I got to Rhea’s cafe, there was no line. I walked straight in, grabbed my form and filled away. I handed it to the sales lady, waited for 2 minutes for my name to be called and I was handed a Glossier bag with my name on it. Then of course, people started messaging me and asking me if I could grab them some Glossier so there goes the third time!
The whole Glossier line is up for grabs at Rhea’s Cafe. But of course, everyone isn’t just there for the makeup as you can imagine the work Glossier put to make this place instagrammable. The whole cafe was transformed and was even painted #glossierpink. The Glossier products took over majority of the space. Every corner was a fun place to explore, swatch and take cute photos.
The pop-up is in San Francisco until April 15th at 2200 Bryant St. Glossier is open daily from 11am-8pm. Rhea’s Cafe serves select items from 11am-3pm on Monday through Friday and 11am-2pm on Saturday and Sunday.
