Katrina Ponce-Enrile, and her daughter Kris, are self-confessed “beauty junkies” and “makeup hoarders,” who have proudly embraced their addiction as a lifelong passion. The two strong women are kindred spirits, united in their love for makeup and the world of beauty, which has become their grownup playground.

07 Aug IT’S TOO PRETTY SERIES: LANCÔME LA ROSE A POUDRER

We’re seeing a wonderful trend where brands are really upping their game when it comes to packaging and design. Aside from impressing you with the overall effectiveness of their products, beauty and cosmetic companies are really zeroing in on giving you that “Wow Reveal” when you open their packages. They understand the high and the rush that we beauty junkies get from un-boxing such pretty products. And Lancôme knocks it out of the park with its latest beauty, the La Rose a Poudrer.

The powder compact is a stunning example of artistry. Delicate petals made from subtly-scented, fine-milled powders are fashioned into a dreamy rose, and it sits in a gold-rimmed French-inspired Bijou box. You’re supposed to lightly swirl your kabuki powder brush across the petals, picking up just the right amount for that luminous glow.

It’s too pretty, I must admit, and it would break my heart to break this beautiful presentation. So like my other pieces in my It’s Too Pretty Collection, I’m definitely setting this aside “for display only”. It’ll find its rightful place on my vanity table, where it’ll be gazed at and adored.

I’d probably do the same thing and set it aside for display. I still swatch my “It’s too pretty collection” but after 3-5 uses, they’re going in the specialty drawer ❤❤
