The Makeup Addicts | Kris
Katrina Ponce-Enrile, and her daughter Kris, are self-confessed “beauty junkies” and “makeup hoarders,” who have proudly embraced their addiction as a lifelong passion. The two strong women are kindred spirits, united in their love for makeup and the world of beauty, which has become their grownup playground.

A sun-kissed beauty, Kris is here to instill newfound pride in being a morena. A carefree spirit who’s truly confident in her own skin, Kris abhors products that aim to mask a woman’s true colors. “Being in the Philippines, everyone here wants to be white. I’m sorry, but I’m not one of those girls. People need to realize that we are all beautiful, and there’s nothing wrong with our skin color. In fact, whatever your skin tone, you should embrace it!’

At three years old, Kris was already perfecting her technique of applying lipstick. Over the next two decades, she blossomed into a more spirited woman, trading in her Sunday dresses for a more chic and sophisticated look. Her approach to makeup evolved as well.

For Kris, beauty is about discovering what is unique about you and embracing it. Makeup plays a vital role in this process of discovery by allowing you to experiment with different looks, and by helping you realize what you love most about yourself.

“What I like about makeup is that there may be a thousand and one YouTube videos and a millions ways on how to choose and apply makeup, but it is only by experimenting on your own that you find out what works for you.”

“In this sense, discovering beauty is very much a personal journey. You learn more about yourself as you find out what you like and don’t like, and what works and does not work for you.”
