As a self-confessed acrylic nail addict, I was adamant on trying out Kiyosa Japanese Total Beauty after hearing rave reviews. This beauty haven offers nail, eyelash extensions and hair services that are of utmost quality. All of the products and tools used are from Japan (along with some of their nail technicians), which all the more enticed me to pay a visit.

Unfortunately, nail salons in the Philippines haven’t quite mastered the art of acrylic nails. Local nail salons tend to build the product up too thick, resulting in very fake looking nails that last about a week or so until they break off. I was close to losing all hope until Kiyosa came along.

Upon arrival, the staff were pleasant and friendly. The place itself had a wonderful ambience and was kept impeccably clean. I was seated in a comfortable reclining chair  before beginning the meticulous 3-hour process of applying acrylic nails. I was pleased to see that they sterilize the tools after each use, which kills bacteria whilst preventing diseases from spreading.

I opted for a junior local artist, as the Japanese technicians weren’t available. Despite being a junior artist, I was not disappointed with the work she did on my nails. Admittedly, it took longer than what I had anticipated due to the attention to detail but the end result was beautiful. Though Kiyosa is a little on the pricey side, it most definitely is worth it, as they offer a one week warranty repair for acrylic extensions. I’ve had my nails for well over a week and they still look freshly done.
If you intend on giving Kiyosa a try then I suggest to book a week prior, as they’re always fully booked.
