When the news broke out that Patrick Starrr and MAC were collaborating, I couldn’t wait to see the collection they were gonna roll out with. As someone who used to work for MAC, I wondered what kind of products Patrick would recreate and reformulate.

I was a little disappointed that parts of his collection were just re-promotes and repackaged shades from the permanent line of MAC because I honestly believe Patrick is more than capable of creating new and exciting shades for us. But seeing as this is probably one of many collaborations with MAC, I know it’s bound to happen.

That being said, I decided to try to get my hands on the set powder ($34) but luckily my cousin was able to score me one! Patrick is known for baking so I really wanted to try his formula. And let me tell you, this powder is EVERYTHING.

I was a bit hesitant to get it at first because it was peachy and I wasn’t sure if that was going to work well with my skin tone but I was wrong. The peachiness is good for the under-eye area because it kind of color corrects while blurring any fine lines. That alone is an excuse to buy it! The powder minimizes your pores and doesn’t have any flash black. The finish and texture of the powder is amazing. It really does a great job of making your face look snatched, as Patrick would say.

This powder is definitely a holy grail item and I’m a little sad I didn’t get a back up set. But since it hasn’t launched in the Philippines yet, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I would be able to get another one when they do.

Well done, Patrick Starrr x MAC!
