08 Jun THE ART OF MASKING
I’ve never really stressed myself to complicate my skincare routine. I keep it simple: wash, tone and moisturize. So imagine the shock of my life when one of my best friends did a study abroad program in Korea (yes, Ivana, I’m talking about you lol) and came to visit me with tons of different skincare products. My three-step skincare analogy was out the door. There were different oils, serums and creams that overwhelmed me.
So I decided to keep it simple and use a facemask once a week.
I love using facemasks because it’s so relaxing and the end results leave you a healthy glowing face. Just like having a facial, you can personalize your facemask by picking which boost you want for the day depending on what kind of facemask you get – some are hydrating, some are deep cleansing, pore refining, firming, etc. Masking has become a vital part of my skincare routine simply because my skin absorbs the other skin care products I apply on my face more intensely but with ease.
I’ve made a couple DIY facemasks but being someone with a finite amount of patience, I’ve opted for sheet masks instead. And that is exactly why I love using sheet masks because it doesn’t get any simpler than that. Easy peasy!
